A brief introduction about UFE

Our school was first established in June 1924 as the “Customs Temporary School” under the Ministry of Finance of Mongolia. At first, comprising of 1 classroom and 6 teachers, our school contributed to the society and economy of the country, and today, it has grown to have more than 300 teachers and staff and 6000 students.

The UFE, which first started training registration and customs specialists, today trains specialists in 15 fields and has more than 40,000 graduates. During the historical years, in each period of the history of Mongolia, our school has honourably fulfilled its obligations to the country and produced a large number of highly responsible and honest intellectuals. Also, among the staff,  there were 4 prime ministers including Jigjidjav Tsengel, Tsedenbal Yumjaa, Sodnom Dumaa and Amarjargal Rinchinnyam from our school. We will continue the admirable history created by senior workers, management, and the community, who have created a century of history for the UFE, named after S. Dovching and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor Merit, and the history of each generation.

The scientists and teachers of UFE, who carefully observe the business environment that is evolving due to the development of technology, are always exploring innovations and sharing knowledge with their students by improving course content to include the latest research and knowledge. We constantly improve our curriculum every year to meet market demands and the needs of entrepreneurs and employers, while our students are prepared for the workplace of the future. In other words, we have discussed and changed our vision, mission, and values ​​as a team, and we have started reforming the curriculum at the bachelor's and master's levels.

We have a policy to offer a different curriculum to each student and allow them to study in a flexible manner. In this way, it is possible to implement minor and major degree programs in accounting, finance, banking, insurance, economics, law, trade, marketing, business management, information systems, data analysis, tourism, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and translation.

In the 2021-2022 academic year, students were given the opportunity to choose long-term and short-term elective courses in 2 doctoral, 7 master's, and 15 bachelor's programs via in-class or online. Doctoral and Master's degrees are focused on advanced research, emphasising academic and pragmatic research to solve interdisciplinary problems of the present day.

The UFE focuses on preparing citizens of the digital age, enriching the content of information technology in the content of each course, and at the same time increasing the number of hours of information technology courses in the curriculum of each profession. In 2021, the UFE approved the school's long-term development policy until 2031 based on the demands and challenges of the new era of science and technology and the fourth industrial revolution.

Explanation of the abbreviation UFE.  UFE  stands for the following:
